What’s in a name? Mr. Shakespeare may have disagreed, but what you are named at birth follows you, and for some people, their name defines them. Our client, Names.org, maintains a database of names where users can explore which names were popular in what years, learn about what different names mean, and read sophisticated analysis about the various cultural influences on name choices.
With millions and millions of names in the database, the site provides a valuable and engaging tool, but they’d seen their organic rankings drop and knew they needed to act in order get their traffic back up. So first we worked together to identify the reasons behind the declining traffic. Then we focused on crafting an energetic content-marketing strategy to engage readers and generate excitement among publishers.
The results of this ongoing campaign have been incredible, as Names.org saw its organic traffic increase by more than a third, while the site’s domain authority surged and its content got exposure with some of the heaviest hitters in the industry, including Huffington Post, Business Insider, and Parents Magazine.
Lexica Labs has delivered excellent results for Names.org. Not only do they suggest creative content ideas, they are able to secure media placements and exposure for those ideas. Content development and marketing are very challenging and costly – but the team have helped Names.org succeed where we were failing previously. – Shawn Schulze
